The Circus Baby published. Written and illustrated by Maud and Miska Petersham. Though not the first picture book by the Petershams, it may be their most recognized. Maud and Miska Petersham won a Caldecott Medal for The Rooster Crows (1945) and a Caldecott Honor for An American ABC (1941).
